Hudson boys track takes 18th at Glen Oak Invitational

Boys trackplaces 18th

The Hudson boys track and field team finished in 18th place with 12 points at the 30-team Second Sole Eagle Elite meet April 15 at GlenOak High School in Canton.

Canton McKinley won the competition with 79 points and Cleveland St. Ignatius (65.5) and GlenOak (57.5) placed second and third, respectively.

Blake Roberts finished fourth in the 3,200-meter race with a time of 9:40.28.

Roberts also was the anchor of the sixth-place 3,200 relay (8:09.51). He joined teammates Connor Sinko, Evan Manley and Adam Beucler.

Finishing seventh for the Explorers was Beucler in the 1,600 (4:25.15) and Jacob Russo in the 3,200 (9:56.14).

Hudson was scheduled to host Suburban League National Conference rival Stow-Munroe Falls April 18. Results were not available at press time.

The Explorers are set to entertain National Conference foe Twinsburg April 21 at Hudson Memorial Stadium. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
