Several gymnasts from Flytz Gymnastics in Cuyahoga Falls competed at the "Luau in Leos" meet March 10 to 12 at Kalahari in Sandusky.
This meet hosted thousands of gymnasts from several states. Several Hudson residents performed for Flytz.
Level 3 gymnasts Katie Chmura, Hailey Benoit and Claire Potter had stellar performances.
Chmura placed first on the floor exercise with a score of 9.325. Benoit placed second on floor (9.1) and in the all-around competition (36.65) and third on the balance beam (9.4) .
Potter placed first on vault (9.25), bars (9.25), floor (9.425) and in the all-around competition (37.025).
Chmura, Benoit and Potter helped contribute to the team's third-place finish.
Level 6 gymnast Emily Plone finished second on bars (9.2).
Level 8 gymnast Sydney DePompei also had a strong showing with third-place finishes on bars (8.9) and floor (9.4).
Xcel Silver gymnast Genevieve Baylor took second on vault (9.2) and bars (9.525) and first on beam (9.35) and in the all-around competition (36.875).
Xcel Gold gymnast Lea Carino captured first on vault (9) and second on bars (9.5).
Xcel Platinum gymnasts, Lindsey Havens, Josie Hall and Maggie Rischitelli, had an stellar meet.
Havens placed first on vault (9.25), beam (9.25) and in the all-around standings (37.375) and second on bars (9.375) and floor (9.5).
Hall placed second on vault (9.2). Rischitelli finished second on floor (9.475) and third on bars (9.05).
Flytz gymnasts were scheduled to compete at the optional state meet, which is set to conclude March 19 at Bowling Green State University.
They are scheduled to compete at the compulsory state meet March 24 to 26.
