The Arc of Summit and Portage Counties will host its 30th Annual Reverse Raffle and Auction on April 21 at Guy's Party Centre in Akron. The event includes a dinner, $2000 grand prize, reverse raffle, as well as a live and silent auction. The proceeds raised at this event will be used to directly benefit the people served through The Arc.
The Arc of Summit and Portage Counties is a nonprofit organization that advocates for people with developmental disabilities, including Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other diagnoses. For over 60 years, The Arc of Summit and Portage Counties has been on the front lines of change for people with developmental disabilities.
The Arc helps individuals achieve their life goals and participate in the community by creating opportunities for education, employment, housing and recreation. The local chapter is just one of more than 700 chapters across the nation working together to change public attitudes and foster respect, access and inclusion.
Local merchants have been donating merchandise and gift certificates for the auction. Corporate sponsorships and tables are also available.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the silent auction. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
The silent and live auctions will feature entertainment tickets, sports memorabilia, jewelry, artwork and a variety of gift baskets.
