Youth baseball program competes in Cooperstown

The Hudson 10-and-younger Blue Explorers competed in a baseball tournament, which concluded June 25 in Cooperstown, N.Y.

The Blue Explorers, who played teams from California, Florida, Massachusetts, Georgia, New York and Maryland, advanced into the tournament bracket.

The team was eliminated when it lost a 2-1 decision in extra innings to the San Diego South Stars.

Team members are Grant Gonya, Colin Paltani, Stephen Bianconi, Dean Palumbo, Hayden Knox, Adam Potts, Colt Pallay, Kolby Miller, Nolan Laughlin, Greg Mailey and Anthony Rightnour.

The head coach is Chris Rightnour. His assistants are Don Paltani and Damon Pallay.
