WRA wrestlers triumph

The host Western Reserve Academy wrestling team earned a 56-28 victory over Canton Central Catholic Feb. 3.

“The boys wrestled well,” Pioneers head coach Richard Eicheldinger said. “This was a good dual-meet note to end on. At 125, Bob Wen wrestled particularly well and so did Henry Peller at 140.

“Some of our guys are finally starting to recognize what they’re capable of. I can only hope that translates into hard work and dedication in the off-season. We’re just going to keep grinding it out and good things will happen for us.”

Reserve is scheduled to compete at the St. Albans Invitational Feb. 12 and 13 in Washington, D.C.
