Several Hudson residents competed in a Northern Ohio PGA Junior Golf Kenny Novak qualifier July 14 at Windmill Lakes Golf Course in Ravenna.
Boys (age 16 to 19): Brian Ruther, tied for 17th, 79 (42-37); Ryan Rhoades, tied for 23rd, 80 (41-39); Steig Carlson, tied for 36th, 83 (40-43); Matt Brady, tied for 54th, 87 (46-41); Christopher Garcia, tied for 62nd, 90 (43-47); and Benjamin Drew, tied for 70th, 95 (48-47)
Boys (13-15): Jackson Stroup, tied for second, 76 (38-38); Sam Wolanske, tied for 10th, 82 (44-38); Blake Thornton, tied for 17th, 85 (43-42); Kyle Miller, tied for 42nd, 96 (49-47); and Nolan Podmore, tied for 49th, 101 (46-55)
Girls (13-15): Shelby Bitter, sixth, 89 (45-44); and Julia Geiger, ninth, 101 (47-54)
