The 11th annual Main Street Kent Art & Wine Festival will take place June 3 from noon to 10 p.m. in downtown Kent.
The event is presented in partnership with the Kent State University College of the Arts. Proceeds will benefit Main Street Kent, the non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, beautification and preservation of downtown Kent.
The Art & Wine Festival will feature local artists, a variety of live entertainment, and several Ohio wineries at the Hometown Bank Plaza and surrounding streets.
Main Street Kent is now accepting artist applications in the following categories (original art only): watercolor, oil/acrylic, clay, photography, sculpture, graphics/drawing, mixed media and others.
Applications must be submitted along with photo or digital examples of original art, and the $75 application fee, by the March 17 deadline.
Student application fee is $35, and a copy of student ID is required for consideration.
Applicants who make this initial deadline will be given priority consideration in booth placement. Second round application deadline is April 17.
All artists are encouraged to apply, and application fees will be returned to those not selected by the jury.
Applications received after April 17 will be considered based on category needs.
