Authors to visitduring Right to Read Week

Hudson PTO will host authors Marilyn Sadler and Jeff Miller this March for Right to Read Week. In advance of their visits, PTO is offering their books for purchase at a discount. Ordered books will be autographed by the authors. Parents can shop online at the PTO Store www.HudsonPTO.org/PTOStore/htmlor download an order form to return to the schools. set for March 4

The Hudson PTO invites all students, parents and family to attend the 60th PTO Pancake Breakfast March 4 from 8 a.m. to noon at Hudson High School.

Woman's Club of Hudson accepting applications for scholarships

The Woman's Club of Hudson is accepting applications for its annual Scholarship Awards. Hudson High School seniors may apply through the Akron Community Foundation at www.akroncf.org/ScholarshipApps.The deadline for completed applications is March 15.

The Woman's Club of Hudson's mission is to provide financial assistance to qualifying graduates of the Hudson Public School System in continuing academic study or vocational training. The organization has been awarding scholarships to HHS graduates since 1948. If you would like to add your name to the list of contributors, please mail your check to The Woman's Club of Hudson, P.O. Rotary offerseducational award

The Rotary Club of Hudson is currently accepting applications for their educational award.

The Rotary Club of Hudson Educational Award was established as a memorial to those past members of the Rotary Club who were beloved members of our community. By perpetuating their memory in this manner, we hope to recognize some of the ideals for which they stood.

The purpose of the Educational Award is to provide financial assistance to qualified Hudson area students who will be attending a state supported university or a certified college tech prep school in the state of Ohio.

The club shall award $14,000 in scholarships to individuals, not less than $2,500 per academic and $1,000 for Career student, who meet the criteria, Students who wish to apply must fill out a Rotary Club of Hudson Financial Assistance Application form. This must be completed in full and be signed by the student and his/her parents or guardian. All information on the application will be kept confidential and will be used only by members of the Rotary Club of Hudson Rotary Educational Committee and only for the purpose of awarding aid.

Students who wish to apply must: 1) Be a student in the Hudson City Schools or a student in the HHS Six District Career Program. 2) Be accepted at and attend a state university or a certified college tech prep school in the State of Ohio.

The deadline to apply is March 23. Applications can be found and returned to the Hudson High School Guidance Department.

Apply for the Michael-WalyScholarship

Hudson Community First is accepting nominations for the Michael-Waly Scholarship.

This annual scholarship recognizes a graduating High School senior residing in Hudson who has made a positive impact on someone else's life.

Nomination forms are available on the Hudson Community First website at www.hudsoncommunityfirst.com and are due by March 24.
