Bereavement Support Group meets March 8, 9
When we lose a loved one by death, we are wounded. Just as a wound does, we need to heal from within, to express our thoughts and feelings, even when they seem crazy. We need to recognize that "crazy is normal."
Knowing this will not lessen your grief, but it may help your healing to begin. A support group is a safe haven with those who understand and care. St. Mary Church, 340 N. Main St., Hudson, will have meetings on March 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. and March 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 106.
Grief, like a wound, takes time to heal. A support group is to the grieving like a healing salve to a wound; it soothes and comforts us while we heal.
To register for the group or for more information, contact Rose Gordyan, Pastoral Associate, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 330 653-8118ext. 227.
Divorce and Beyond session March 14
Now what do I do? Divorce is painful, often shattering. But it need not be disastrous.
Divorce and Beyond is a seminar for people who are separated, have filed for divorce, or are already divorced. This seminar helps to examine what happens to most people going through the total beak up of their marriage. These group sessions will begin on Tuesday, March 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 106 at St. Mary Church, 340 N. Main St. in Hudson.
Register by calling Rose Gordyan, Pastoral Associate at email@example.com or 330-653-8118 ext. 227.
LGBTQ support group meets monthly
St. Mary Church, 340 N. Main St. in Hudson, is offering a Family Ministry Support Group to address the needs of those who are LGBTQ and their families.
Many parents and family members identify with various feelings: relief, anger, mourning, fear, guilt, shame, loneliness and parental protectiveness. If you are struggling with any of these feelings and are looking for support please consider participating in the St Mary Family Support group. We have changed our meeting day to the fourth Tuesday of every month to accommodate more folks.
The next meeting is March 28 at 7 p.m. The goal of this ministry is not to attempt to alter any person's sexual orientation; rather, it is our goal to support all persons in their quest for wholeness and holiness. Any questions, contact Lori Joseph at firstname.lastname@example.org or 330-653-8118 ext. 233.
